Its time to say Goodbye…
Aug.5

After almost 5 years of pouring my heart and soul into building The Fabric Fairy, this is a difficult letter to write. The time has come for me to make a choice, between continuing to grow The Fabric Fairy and dedicating more time to my family.  As much as I am grateful to my amazing customers for giving me the opportunity to serve them,  I have decided that is time to pass the mantle of running The Fabric Fairy on.  Fortunately, I am blessed with the comfort of knowing that the business will continue to thrive in the hands of someone who loves fabric, sewing, and the sewing community as much as I do.

I am very excited to announce that starting in a short time, Megan, our current Director of Product Management and Store Operations, will be the new owner of The Fabric Fairy.  She has quietly been increasingly responsible for much of what you love about The Fabric Fairy already over the past 3 years, and I have every confidence that she will do a fabulous job when she takes over, and continue to bring you the incredible fabric and amazing customer service that The Fabric Fairy is known for.  Please join me in welcoming her to her new position.

In the meantime, we will be selling off our entire inventory at deep discounts so that Megan can start fresh–everything must go!  Our discounts will begin with 15% off of all fabric this week (we’ll send out a separate newsletter in a few minutes about this), and increase from there as our stock dwindles down.  Our current inventory will not be reordered, so if there are any fabrics that you have been eying but putting off purchasing, now is the time to do so–our stock will sell out fast and when its gone, its gone!  Please note that new special orders and gift certificate purchasing will be suspended during this transitional period, and current gift certificates should be used now, as they will not be valid under the new ownership.

I won’t say a permanent goodbye, as I will be continuing to see many of you in the sewing communities around the internet–more of a “so long” and “see you soon!”.   Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support over the years–I will treasure the relationships and memories that have been created forever!

Sincerely,
Caroline Geraci
