3000 Friends Giveaway!
Feb.13

I am simply amazed!  3,000 friends on Facebook!  Thank you to all the fans that have been with us since the beginning and a big thanks to all the newcomers from Sew Can She and Lil Blue Boo!!  I hope you enjoy seeing all the new fabrics, patterns, and trims that come across the news feed.  To celebrate this milestone, I think a giveaway is in order!  I have put together a fabric bundle of three 1 yard cuts of knit fabric for the winner.  There are two ways to enter the giveaway.  They are….

1.  Post a picture of something you have sewn up with fabric from The Fabric Fairy on our facebook page and then comment here that you have posted.

2.  Share The Fabric Fairy Facebook Page with your friends and then comment here letting us know that you did.

Please post a separate comment here for each entry.  There is a maximum of 2 entries per person for the contest (1 picture on FB and 1 sharing entry).  The contest runs from now till February 18th and we will post the winner by random drawing on the evening of the 18th on our facebook page.  This contest is open to international customers.  :)  And now,  the prize….

1 yard of each of these fun knits could be yours!!  Let’s play!

And the winners are…
Jul.20

Drumroll please…we have the winners of our two recent contests!

First, a hearty thank you to everyone who has been helping to spread the word about The Fabric Fairy.  We are extremely grateful and honored by the positive word of mouth. The winner of our $100 shopping spree drawing for customers who posted about our new site is………………Christine Hansen!!!  (can you hear the thunderous applause, Christine?)

Second, congratulations to Heather Gillibrand for being the first person to spot all of the uses of Fairycare on our new site.  An honorary prize goes to Judith Kowalewski for being the only person to actually calculate out the exact number of times the words can appear, based on the number of products we stock and uses per product view.  You will each receive a $20 gift certficate to buy fluff at The Fabric Fairy!!  Happily, we have noticed a ton of people making use of our free Fairycare services since we launched, and we’ve been enjoying working with them and helping them out.  If you’ve been debating contacting us, please don’t be shy! ;-)

We have another contest coming up soon, but are still putting some things together for it…this one will involve creativity!

Fabric Fairy scavenger hunt to celebrate our launch, and a chance to sew for Joplin
Jul.14

First, I wanted to thank everyone for the overwhelming positive response to our makeover–we have the most amazing customers! We also appreciate all of you spreading the word about our new site–make sure to get any last mentions in tonight or tomorrow, since our drawing for the $100 prize will take place Friday at the close of the business day.

And now, another fun contest!  You have surfed our website and seen all the fun new places to explore.  You’ve probably noticed us talking about our “Fairycare” concierge services that we are now offering. Your newest mission is to start searcing for the word “Fairycare”!!  Email us at contact@thefabricfairy.com with your guess of how many times we say “Fairycare” on our new site, and where these mentions are located and the first person to guess correctly will win a $20.00 gift certificate!  Starting…right this minute!!!

But wait.  Before you go, I wanted to let you know about Project First Day, an incredible sewing effort organized by Susan Stewart of Susan Stewart Designs to provide handmade clothing for the elementary-age children of Joplin in time for their first day of school this fall.  They are in such great need of clothing right now, and YOU can help by sewing tops or dresses for them.  To make it easier, Bonnie Ferguson of Fishsticks Designs is offering a free  downloadable pdf copy of the t-shirt portion of my Big Kid Charlie Tee pattern to be used to sew for Project First Day.   If you are interested in donating, please contact Susan directly for the shipping address through the contact page on her site .  Please note that the deadline for submitting donations is Aug.1, so that the clothing can be distributed before school begins.

Enjoying the new site?
Jul.10

We’ve gotten a barrage of positive feedback about our new site, which absolutely thrills us.  Seriously, thank you.  We’ve been working so hard to try to incorporate all of the feedback we’ve gotten about what your dream fabric website would look like, what features and improved technology  you would want to see, and how we could improve the feel and ease of use of The Fabric Fairy’s website.  It’s nice to know that we got it right. :)

Which brings us to our first contest of our week-long new site celebration!!! Feel like sharing the Fabric Fairy love?  We came up with a fun contest to help spread the word about our new and improved site, shipping prices, discounts, etc.

Mention our new site on a message board or a blog, than email us at contact@thefabricfairy.com with a link to that mention so we can see it, and receive a chance to win a $100 gift certificate.  Each time you mention us on a board where the new site has not been mentioned, you will receive 5 entries for the $100 gift certificate.  Each time you post about us on Facebook or Twitter, or give us some love on a forum or blog where our new website has already been mentioned, you’ll receive 1 entry.  On Friday, we’ll put the entries in a bowl and randomly pull out a the name of the lucky person who wins the $100 gift certificate to The Fabric Fairy.  Ready, set, go!!!
