One year later...

This fabric was great to sew with and has excellent structure for swimwear. I made my tween a swim bottom using the solid black as the main fabric as well as a rashguard with solid black sleeves. After a few trips to the pool and lake last summer and two weeks in the pool, the black fabric has very little life left. It is over stretched, threadbare, and you can see the elastic fibers shredding. We usually rinse the chlorine out of our swimwear after each swim, as well. I'm not sure why this happened or what's going on. I have never seen this before with this type of fabric. On the one hand, it lasted a year; but on the other hand, it ONLY lasted one year. Perhaps if you don't get in chlorine or just want to sit beside the pool it in, this would work fine. I won't purchase this particular solid again. I've attached before and after photos, really just one full summer of average wear (alternated with other swimwear as well). Note: There was fading, but not as much as appears in the photos. You can see the jet black swim lining next to the black nylon swim main in the photo of the swim bottoms.
